The Fierce Wife

25 Feb

I skipped to episode 15 of The Fierce Wife because I couldn’t stand to watch the bastard of a husband cheating on his wife with his wife’s cousin. It’s probably for the best because 15 minutes into episode 15, I want to crawl into tv-land and give Rui Fan and Wei En a good punch in the face… yea, I might have destroyed some furniture if I watched it from the beginning.

An Zhen is such a sweet woman and I do get why she’s trying so hard bear with her husband’s affair and salvage the marriage but gahhh, please hurry up and realise that your husband is a jackass who do not deserve you at all.

*finished ep 15*

oh god, Rui Fan you need to die right now. Your wife is in the hospital from a car accident and you can’t be contacted because you’re too busy comforting your mistress who’s crying over her fucking dead cat???? And when you finally visit your wife in the hospital, YOU BRING HER DIVORCE PAPERS. Good job, you lowlife.

Thankfully, next episode promises less teeth gnashing. Tian Wei is around to cheer An Zhen up and looks like it’s the beginning of An Zhen learning to stand up for herself.

I was going to watch it too, actually did watch part of ep 1, but then I read that she still didn’t know her husband was cheating on her and it was ep, what 10, 11? And it’s only supposed to be 20 episodes.

That seems to be way too late. But I might catch the next part, with her getting a makeover.

Yea, when I read the drama synopsis, I had expected them to divorce around epi2 or 3. It seems quite a bit of airtime was devoted to showing how the supposedly nice hubby/father Rui Fan fell for Wei En. From the bits that I’ve watched of the earlier episodes, An Zhen catches on early that Rui Fan was straying but she thought the third party was Rui Fan’s ex-gf. It took her 13 episodes to find out that it was her cousin!
